Been awhile since I've done a self portrait shot - This was taken around midnight up in Rocky Mountain National Park. Going there in the middle of the night is the only time there isn't a single other person around and you have the entire park to yourself; a moment rarely had in such a popular and beautiful place as this. So peaceful :)

on September 8, 2012Phenomenal on so many levels - the beauty of the scenery, that it is midnight, that it is a SP!

on September 8, 2012I love this! Always glad to see your bit of Colorado.
Love, love Colorado, although my last trip to Estes/RMNP I had quite a bit of trouble with the altitude...maybe had something to do with flying into Denver and immediately taking the Peak to Peak hwy --no regrets though, the Aspens were breathtaking. Next time I'll try and acclimate first. :)

on September 1, 2012Thanks everyone! I was excited at how this shot came out! John, come out to Colorado, you'll find plenty of spots like this that are twice as beautiful with out any people. All you have to do is get away from the tourist attractions like RMNP ... This whole state is full of hidden gems :)

on August 29, 2012Looks so peaceful. I like the Really like the large rock in theFG of the shot. and the way the water and reflections 'bend' around it.

on August 29, 2012Beautiful landscape and SP. I love mountains and wild places, but it is increasingly difficult to have them to yourself like this. Some of my most perfect moments have been ones like this, but they are so rare.
