Stayed out way too late playing with the new 35mm F 1.8 lens out in the back woods near Jones Pass. Wanted to try my hand at astrophotography. I couldn't be more pleased with the results :)
Here's the rest of the night's shots - http://www.lohrphoto.blogspot.com

on August 1, 2011Thank you for the comments everyone. Dizmang, you have some sweet shots as well and it looks like you're from CO? You should check out Jones Pass then right up by Berthoud Pass. It's a great place to go shoot stars with minimal light pollution!

on August 1, 2011Thanks for the comment today, very much appreciated since I consider you an awesome photographer...the original for 'Ripples In Time' is here http://webstersway.smugmug.com/Other/Near-Misses/18166084_n2FX5n#1409904774_wdXtW7v it's from a client's office, when they head out for lunch, they close this glass(?) door, I happened to be working on the receptionists computer and liked the way the light was shining through it..then, I added a neat, free plug-in from Redfield called 'Water Ripples', pretty much just appled it and went with the base setting...
